I can't seem to stay on track with photos for an entire year, so if I call this 365 Days of Awesome, I can post other things I find interesting.

38 of 365: Promise of Spring 2
On New Year's Day I took a picture of this same tree through a window. The buds were barely visible. Now the tree is flowering. No leaves yet, but those are coming soon.
Hiram: We call the tree a tulip tree since the full flowers look much like tulips. I have no idea what the tree is really called, but they leaf out beautifully in late spring. I'm sure I will take more photos of the tree as the year goes along.

What kind of tree is this? I really like the solitary flower in the midst of all the activity preparing to burst forth.
