I saw on the news there was a 6.5 earthquake off the coast of Ferndale, CA. My mom lives just a few miles from there so I called her then fired up Twitter Search to see what was up. #earthquake trended for awhile so updates were flying fast and furious. I was able to get information from a variety of sources including the local weekly. News in the modern age.
